Hello, it’s time to take it slow…

Welcome to yukkuri diary, a log about intentional living and travel. The word, yukkuri ゆっくり, is a Japanese adverb that describes a measured way of taking action i.e. slowly; without haste; leisurely. It’s a word that seems to be imbued with deliberation and it’s a lifestyle that I want to embrace despite the hurriedness of my current circumstances. This newsletter is where I share my everyday life as I embark on a journey of slow living while taking in the beautiful sights the world (or Japan at this point!) has to offer.

Let’s take a moment to appreciate the blooms at Farm Tomita in Hokkaido.

About me

Born and raised in Singapore, I’m no stranger to hustling. An educator by profession, I made the decision some years back to step out of full-time and into part-time teaching and I’ve not looked back since. Avid traveler, tech geek and cat lover with a bunch of creative hobbies in rotation. Will not say no to a cup of coffee or tea.

A dull day in Nokonoshima off Fukuoka, but I had fun nonetheless. Whee!
